Segments are audiences of users or accounts that match the filters you choose. Use them to focus on a particular group, understand who is in it, and take action with the tools connected to Accoil.
User and account segments
Create a user segment when the audience is defined by individual people and their activity. Create an account segment when the audience is defined at the account level.
Both types are available in a workspace and can be used to create a focused audience from the filters that matter to your team.
Segments update as you work
The table updates as you add or change filters, so you can see the audience that currently matches your definition while you are editing it.
For a custom segment, apply or save the changes when you want to change its saved definition. If there are changes that have not been applied, Accoil lets you apply them, cancel them, or discard them and return to the original definition.
Suggested and custom segments
Accoil provides suggested segments in every workspace for both accounts and users. They are always available and cannot be deleted or overwritten.
Custom segments are the audiences your team creates. You can create one from scratch, duplicate an existing segment, change its filters, and save it for future use.
Where segments are useful
Segments help teams work with a defined group across Accoil. Depending on the connected integrations and the actions available to your workspace, you can use a segment to:
review the users or accounts that belong to an audience
send selected data to connected tools such as HubSpot or Intercom
power automations
export a filtered list
focus reporting on a specific audience
