Summary

Activation in Accoil shows how close users and accounts are to finding real value in your product.

How does it help

It gives teams a clear view of who’s engaged and who needs support, so adoption and onboarding run smoothly.

Activation measures progress toward meaningful engagement. Think of it as a checklist of must-do actions: once an account or user ticks off enough steps, they’re considered “activated.” It's a static measurement showing progress toward a user or account’s first moment of value — their “aha!” moment.

You can track activation at both the account and user level, helping you see:

  • How far along accounts are in their journey

  • Which users are fully engaged

  • Where new trials or onboarding customers may be stalling

  • Using specific features (e.g., automation, conditional logic)

  • Reaching a set frequency of activity

Each condition you set makes your definition of “activation” clearer and easier to track.
