The Atlassian Marketplace connection brings customer license information for one Marketplace app into Accoil. It combines commercial context from Atlassian with the product activity already associated with your customer accounts.
This connection is intended for Atlassian Marketplace partners that want to understand product engagement alongside license status, edition, tier, evaluation periods, and renewal information.
What the connection adds
Marketplace license values are added to matching Accoil accounts as traits with an am. prefix. Depending on the information Atlassian provides, these traits can include:
App name, app key, product ID, and app edition
License status, type, hosting, and tier
Evaluation, maintenance, and renewal dates
Entitlement and license identifiers
Billing cycle and parent product details
Site, company, country, and region information
Sandbox and Marketplace attribution details
Accoil imports selected license fields that are useful for account analysis. It does not import individual Marketplace contact details.
How licenses match product activity
Accoil uses the Atlassian Cloud ID to match each Marketplace license to an account. Your analytics group calls must send that same Cloud ID as the group_id so Accoil can associate the license details and product activity with one customer account.
If the identifiers do not match exactly, the license traits and usage data may appear on separate accounts. Licenses without a Cloud ID cannot be matched through this connection.
For guidance on sending analytics from an Atlassian Forge app, see the 10 minute Forge analytics guide.
What you can do with the data
Bringing license data into Accoil helps you:
Segment accounts by license status, edition, tier, or product usage
Identify evaluation accounts and understand their engagement
Monitor upcoming maintenance and renewal dates
Prioritise accounts for conversion, expansion, retention, or support
Compare commercial status with actual product adoption
Connect Atlassian Marketplace
Setup requires an Atlassian account email address, API token, vendor ID, and the product ID for the app you want to connect. Accoil uses these credentials to make read-only requests to the Atlassian Marketplace API.
For complete setup instructions—including how to create the API token, find the vendor and product IDs, configure the connection, and confirm account matching—see Connect Atlassian Marketplace to Accoil.
